This two-CD album lets you enjoy the world of “Hiroko Taniyama the Songwriter,” featuring songs she has written for idols, singers, voice actors, manga, musicals, and animated films, as well as previously unreleased tracks from her own musical theater CDs.■ Hiroko Taniyama’s Second Volume of Her First Self-Cover Collection This album features Hiroko Taniyama’s first self-covers of songs she has written for
other artists, as well as tracks from her own musical play, *Fantasy Library*.
This 2-CD set features 10 tracks recorded live during a public recording session in May 2025 at The Phoenix Hall in Osaka, with Hiroko Taniyama performing piano and vocals. These tracks include her own programmed beats, bass by Kenji Sato,AQ Ishii on programmed drums. The 2-CD set also includes seven bonus tracks—the original “Live Acoustic Versions”—for a total of 17 songs.

1980s idol single “Light Blue Headband,” Miko Miyazaki’s “My Heart Is a Hamburger,” and Yuki Saito’s “Eternal Twilight.”“Umbrella Waltz,” a track from the concept album *Sky-Blue Melody: Megumi Mizusawa Collection*, based on the works of
popular shōjo manga artist Megumi Mizusawa. “Become Wings,” written for Junko Iwao in the ’90s.In the 2000s, “Nanakamado” from the Studio Ghibli film *The Tale of the Earthsea Songbook*, provided to Aoi Teshima, and “Indigo Waves,” an insert song from the Studio Ghibli film *From Up on Poppy Hill*.“A Single Photograph,” the theme song for Kaho Shimada’s musical *Twenty-Four Eyes*, and “Shōjo,” a song provided to Sayuri Ishikawa. Also included for the first time on CD is “Cheers!,” performed in her own musical *Hiroko Taniyama’s Fantasy Library Vol. 3: Atago-oru is the Forest of Cats*.
Additionally, the album includes seven bonus tracks featuring original acoustic versions of the songs performed by
Hiroko Taniyama herself. This album allows listeners to enjoy the world of “Hiroko Taniyama the Songwriter”—a dedicated craftswoman who tailors her work to the artistic vision of the artists she composes for, a side not typically found on her own original albums.
