It has been four years since “Miyuki Nakajima 2020 Last Tour: ‘It All Worked Out in the End’” was forced to be canceled due to the unprecedented pandemic in 2020.
This latest video release features the complete recording of “Uta-kai VOL.1,” the long-awaited concert held in Tokyo and Osaka starting January 19, 2024—her first in four years.
It includes the 1970s classic “The Store’s Name Is Life,” smash hits“Star on Earth,” “Riding on the Back of the Silver Dragon,” “Together,” and “Longing.” Also featured is the message song “Sunflower ‘SUNWARD’,” whose lyrics evoke images of a
world torn by war, as well as a digest medley from the “Yakai” series that fans have been eagerly anticipating.
In total, the release features 19 songs, including the spectacular latest single “Shion,” which closed the main set and was performed against footage from the animated film *Alice and Teres’s Phantom Factory* (Studio MAPPA, directed by Mari Okada).
It is packed with the unique charms of a concert video, such as close-up shots that make it feel as though you’re watching Miyuki Nakajima sing up close, and moving scenes that fill the entire screen.
The first-press edition includes “Miyuki Nakajima Concert: Utakai VOL.1 16/16+” (a concert documentary) as a bonus disc.
This masterpiece was edited from over 700 hours of rehearsal and backstage footage.
