MONDO GROSSO’s follow-up album *Attune / Detune*, a sequel to their 2017 hit album *Born Again and Again*, will be released on Wednesday, March 21!In 2017, Shinichi Osawa’s solo project “MONDO GROSSO” made a comeback after a 14-year hiatus.
The album features the new track “False Sympathy,” featuring BiSH’s Aina the End on vocals, which serves as an insert song for the currently airing TBS Tuesday drama *You’ve Taken Root in My Heart*—a series generating buzz as the first lead role for Riho Yoshioka, one of today’s hottest actresses—as well as one additional new track.
The album also marks the first-ever CD release of “TURN IT UP” by Ohashi Trio and “KEMURI” by ACO—tracks that were previously available exclusively on Spotify and AWA, respectively—along with a collection of songs reconstructed from the previous album, *Born New Again and Again*, giving them a fresh new life.
The album title is “Attune / Detune.” “Attune” means “to tune in to,” while “Detune” refers to the process of “slightly shifting (the sound)” in electronic music production.
Through the repetition of “Attune” and “Detune,” this album offers a rich experience—both in sound and visuals—of the musical world MONDO GROSSO is presenting in 2018.
