商品説明

The fourth installment in the “Year Book” series, released in 2017. While it compiles recordings from the late 1980s, it is the largest volume in the series to date, comprising five CDs.
It features the legendary “TV WAR” performance with Daisaburo Harada, as well as the “Ink Stick Session”—a collaboration with Bill Laswell,Hitoshi Kondo, and Carlos Alomar, each take up an entire CD; it also includes Koharu Kisaragi’s performance “Matthew 1985 ~ That Person Did Nothing,” which spans two CDs.In addition to collaborative tracks with
Sandy & the Sunsets and David Sylvian, as well as commercials from that era and a live radio performance with Taeko Ohnuki, this 5-CD set makes the most of its format to fully capture Ryuichi Sakamoto’s energetic activities in the late 1980s.The inclusion of “Futurista,” an outtake from the
album *Futurista*, also generated significant buzz. As with previous releases, the set comes with a booklet featuring an interview with Ryuichi Sakamoto discussing the tracks and rare photos from that era.The fourth installment of the Ryuichi

Sakamoto Archive “Year Book Series” is a 5-disc set! It features rare recordings from works spanning 1985 to 1989.It includes the complete “Matthew 1985” performance with
Koharu Kisaragi, Yuji Takahashi, Haruna Miyake, Kazumi Watanabe, and others; a session at Roppongi INKSTICK; and outstanding tracks that were nearly completed but not included on *Futurista*.”Also included are “Kaze no Michi,” a collaboration with Taeko Ohnuki from an 1989 NHK FM special; “Rachael/Sandy and the Sunsets” (released on CD for the first time); and the previously unreleased “The Garden (TOKIO KUMAGAI),” among others.
Ryuichi Sakamoto became world-famous as the first Japanese person to win the Academy Award for Best Original Score for the 1987 film *The Last Emperor* (released in Japan in 1988), but the late 1980s was also a period during which he ambitiously released original albums and was actively engaged in live tours and corporate commercials.
This release focuses on previously unreleased tracks and also includes recordings that are now difficult to obtain. It is a must-have compilation for Sakamoto fans. Ryuichi Sakamoto’s cutting-edge sound design from that era—utilizing the
Fairlight CMI, Emulator II, and DX7—is sure to appeal to music fans and keyboard enthusiasts alike. The
included tall-format booklet, comprising approximately 52 pages of rich content, features photographs and archival images from that era.
