While his previous album drew attention for featuring guest appearances by Soul Flower Union, this new release consists primarily of Tokikawa’s solo work and duets with his student, Miyuki Kinjo—with the exception of Track 1, which features his granddaughter and student Natsuki Nakamura, and Track 4, which includes five of his students and a koto player.Recorded in a form as raw and unadorned as possible—featuring the songs she simply
