Ska Paradise will release a greatest hits album on March 18!The guest vocalist on the new track is aiko!
The album features songs released since the band moved to Avex in 1998, with 47 tracks selected by Kinichi Mogi (drums) and compiled into a 3-CD set.
[CD DISC 1] and [CD DISC 2] feature “vocal tracks” created starting in 2001, in which Atsushi Yanaka (baritone sax)—whose “lyric writing” is often called Skapara’s greatest innovation—gave the instrumental band a voice through his lyrics;[CD DISC 3] features “Paradise Has No Border”—which it’s no exaggeration to call the ultimate instrumental killer track—along with “TONGUES OF FIRE,” “5 days of TEQUILA,”and “Suikinkutsu feat. Hiromi Uehara”—all powerful instrumental tracks composed by the band members.
The 47 tracks included in this 3-CD set are, as the title *TOKYO SKA TREASURES* suggests, truly the “treasures” of “Tokyo Ska” that Ska Paradise has performed over the years.
