A self-cover album recorded with a piano trio, released in 2012. Thecello was played by long-time collaborator Jakis Morelenbaum, while the violin was performed by Judy Kang, who was selected through an online audition.While this marked her first
piano trio album since *1996*, what makes this work unique is not only that it features songs written after 1996, but also that recording began only after the trio had already completed a European tour together.
They toured Europe in the fall of 2011; during that tour, the track list for the album was finalized, and their performances gained greater depth.
The recording took place in the beautiful Portuguese city of Porto and features classics such as“Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” and “Tango,” as well as “Nostalgia” and “Still Life” (in new arrangements) from their then-latest album *out of noise*, and even the 1980s single “Happy End”—resulting in a collection of classic hits, both old and new, spanning their entire career.
