Takashi Miki is one of the leading composers in the Japanese music industry. He is a hitmaker who has created numerous classic songs, including “Winter Scenery of the Tsugaru Strait” and “Let Yourself Be Carried Away by the Flow of Time.”Active across a wide range of genres, from enka to anime songs, he was one of the key figures who helped shape the golden age of Japanese pop music, particularly from the Showa era through the early Heisei era, and his legacy continues to inspire many artists today.
Unreleased songs he had written during his lifetime still exist, and this commemorative project involves producing and releasing “City of Water” from among them.
Eri Yamashita was selected for this project in recognition of her talent as a singer.
