The title track, “When I Close My Eyes,” is a cover of a classic by Cerry—a song released in 1997 and featured on the soundtrack to the iconic “Initial D,” among others—that has been hailed as “the pinnacle of melancholic Eurobeat.” Yuria’s lovely vocals make this a song that lingers pleasantly in your ears.
The B-side is a special cover of globe’s “Love Again,” which was also the theme song for “Love Jōtō”—the show that ignited her popularity. Daiki Arai, the winner of the “Love Again” remix contest held around the same time, handled the track production, bringing out a fresh charm in this new version of “Love Again.”
