Ketsumeishi will release their 13th original album, “Ketsunopolis 13”—their first in about two years—on Wednesday, January 31, 2024!!!!
The album features “We GO,
” an original song selected as the theme song for TV Tokyo’s drama series No. 8, *Jeanne’s Judgment*,
and created around the theme that “while each person’s power may be small, when that power comes together, we can overcome even the biggest walls and difficulties”;“A Whimsical Shopping District,” which captures the warm and joyful atmosphere unique to shopping districts; “A Song for Overseas Expatriates,” which expresses gratitude and encouragement to those working far from
home;“What Is ‘Normal’ Anyway?”, a message song celebrating living
authentically without being swept away by society’s definition of “normal”—a groundbreaking track aiming to fuse “kayōkyoku” with “rap”; and “Samba in My Head,” a quintessential
Ketsumeishi party song—among 11 new tracks.
In addition, the album includes the album version of “SWEET BABY”—which was released digitally in September as the theme song for the Nissan “Rooks” commercial—as well as four previously released tracks,
including the single “Flying Through the Night Sky,” released in February of this year and serving as the theme song for the TV Asahi Saturday Night Drama"6-Second Trajectory: The Melancholy of Fireworks Master Seitaro Mochizuki," are also included. The album features a diverse selection of 15 tracks in total, ranging from
full-throttle Ketsumeishi cheer songs to their signature mid-tempo tunes and ballads.
