Akira Senju is active in a wide range of fields as a composer, arranger, and music producer. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of his career, he is releasing a new original orchestral album!

“Breath of Life,” a 17-minute epic ambient piece that will be played throughout the “PASONA NATUREVERSE” pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo,"A Ba La Ka Kya (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Sky)"—the 2025 orchestral version, which premiered during the Seattle Symphony’s regular concert series amid the COVID-19 pandemic and, this past May, featured a collaboration with the fusuma paintings of Mount Koya created by his older brother, Hiroshi Senju—is included here for the first time.
Additionally, the album features“RHAPSODY” and “FANTASIA,” a new arrangement of “The Beginning”—originally written during his early career—and a new arrangement of “Re-Born,” which he contributed to a film in 1987. This album marks the first time these historic works, released over the course of his 40-year career, have been recorded with new orchestrations.
This album is truly a new orchestral arrangement album and, at the same time, a commemorative work marking the 40th anniversary. Produced with a concept linked to the debut album *PIEDMONT PARK*, Hiroyuki Arakawa—the photographer who shot the original album cover—has once again captured the images for this release, resulting in artwork that harmonizes with the imagery of that era.
