EXILE SHOKICHI is a multi-talented artist who is not only a vocalist for EXILE and EXILE THE SECOND but also writes songs for junior groups such as THE RAMPAGE and FANTASTICS, and serves as a producer for “iCONZ,” an audition program that has discovered the next generation of groups like LIL LEAGUE.As a solo artist, he has released numerous works since 2014. This July, coinciding with the release of his digital single “The Tale of Flowers and Volcanoes,” he changed his artist name from EXILE SHOKICHI to SHO HENDRIX and relaunched his solo career!With the aim of having music-loving adults enjoy his
sincerely crafted songs without any preconceptions tied to EXILE, he produced a total of 12 tracks—6 in Tokyo and 6 in Los Angeles.
Numerous guests contributed to the album,
including SWAY, Masa Kohama, B.I.G.JOE, Eve Ai, AYA a.k.a. PANDA, and TAK-Z. Blending various genres such as R&B, neo-soul, hip-hop, deep house, afrobeats, and folk, the ambitious album “DOZEN ROSES”—a collection of 12 songs about love—is now complete.
In addition to the album, which was released exclusively as a digital download in November 2023, a physical package featuring live footage from the “EXILE SHOKICHI LIVE TOUR 2023 ‘BRAIN’” held nationwide in December has been confirmed for release!
