That’s because, after releasing “Before Dawn,” Atarayo’s first EP, I felt that the first chapter of Atarayo had come to an end for me.As we prepared to show everyone something new as the next chapter of Atarayo, I spent every day wondering what kind of songs would truly be fitting for this second chapter. After a long period of inner conflict, I arrived at the answer: “Let’s not try to meet anyone else’s expectations—let’s just do what we want to do right now.”I decided we should share songs with lyrics that flowed naturally from us, rather than ones we’d polished over and over.
