i-dle, the five-member global girl group currently attracting the most attention, is releasing its first Japanese EP in five years. The group has garnered global attention by winning a record-breaking nine Rookie of the Year awards
in South Korea—the most ever for a new artist—and setting records for the most and fastest-reaching music videos with 10 videos each surpassing 100 million views on YouTube.Leader Soyeon served as executive producer and contributed to songwriting and composition, while also overseeing the recording process; the other members were also involved in the song production, with each showcasing their individual talents.

In March 2025, they made a surprise appearance on a popular Japanese TV show, becoming a top trend on social media.
In May, they announced a name change, declaring a fresh start as “i-dle” following their previous name, “(G)I-DLE.” With their first appearance at “SUMMER SONIC 2025” also confirmed, their meteoric rise shows no signs of slowing down.
Their Japanese EP features a total of five tracks: three completely new songs—including “What Should I Do?” written specifically for this release by Soyeon—as well as Japanese versions of their hit songs “Queencard” and “Fate.”
In October, they will hold the “i-dle first japan tour (tentative title)” in two cities: Saitama Super Arena in Saitama and GLION ARENA KOBE in Hyogo.
