Daiki Ueno has released his new 8-track EP, *Kawaritai*, his first CD release in about two and a half years since his major-label debut album *Shinryoku*!Featuring five newly written tracks, this EP depicts “the inner conflict and hope involved in forging a path toward the future,” making it an ambitious work packed with Daiki Ueno’s new sound and lyrical world.
Additionally, the CD features several tracks making their CD debut for the first time,
including “Aozora”—a tie-in song that marked a turning point in Ueno’s own career—
as well as “Nui-me,” which garnered attention last year as the opening theme for the drama “Unmet: Diary of a Neurosurgeon,” and “Kore kara no Mirai,” released digitally last year as the closing theme for “Mr. Sunday”!This transformative work, reflecting Ueno’s
current thoughts and offering support to everyone who wishes to change, is now complete!
The Blu-ray includes music videos for the tracks on the album, such as the lead single “dodo” and “Waiting for Dawn,” directed by Daiki Ueno himself.
It also includes a making-of film that provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the EP’s production, as well as excerpts from the conceptual live performance held in 2025.
