The lineup features a diverse array of artists, including Ryuichi Sakamoto’s longtime collaborators such as Alva Noto, Christian Fennesz, and Cornelius, as well as first-time collaborators like ARCA and Oneohtrix Point Never, and even Johann Johannsson from the world of classical and contemporary music.
It’s fascinating to compare the remixes of tracks like “andata,” “solari,” and “fullmoon,” each reimagined by different artists. The
Japanese edition exclusively includes a remixed version of “ZURE” by Kukan Gendai, a band that was gaining a reputation as an up-and-coming act at the time.
