In 2017, the group made a comeback after a 14-year hiatus with “Born Anew Again and Again,” featuring “Labyrinth” sung by Hikari Mitsushima,“Planet Tantra” sung by Asuka Saito (Nogizaka46), and “False Sympathy” sung by Aina the End (BiSH)—Shinichi Osawa’s solo project MONDO GROSSO set the music scene ablaze with its ever-evolving collaborations.

MONDO GROSSO means “big world” in Italian,and this new release, titled “BIG WORLD” (the English rendering of “MONDO GROSSO”), was produced amidst historic global upheaval. Based on the concept of “a musical journey to continually seek the place of the heart in a world that has changed and continues to change,” the album is packed with the sounds of Shinichi Osawa—who has long led the scene with his innovative music—as he enters a new era.

Hikari Mitsushima, who starred in the music video for the hit song “Labyrinth” (which has over 30 million views), has been confirmed to participate once again.
Additionally, UA, Seiko Omori, and Kei Owada have contributed lyrics.Shinichi Osawa has also written lyrics for tracks such as “STRANGER [Vocals: Asuka Saito (Nogizaka46)]” and “Fantasy Reflection [Vocals: Takao Tajima (Original Love)].”


The new album features an even more star-studded lineup of vocalists than its predecessor.
