This is his 11th single, released in anticipation of the live tours “EXILE ATSUSHI LIVE TOUR 2025 ‘Heart to Heart’ ~Resurrection Festival~” and “‘Heart to Heart’ Season 2.”As asolo release, this is his first new work in about two years since “Photograph feat. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra Horn Section,” released in June 2023.
“Love Thang” is a dance track with a groovy blend of positivity and love, featuring lyrics written by ATSUSHI. The title carries the implication of “That’s what love is all about,” and its sound, reminiscent of the ’80s, is refreshing.
Meanwhile, “It’s Brand New” features a reunion song by the original COLOR, a four-member vocal group centered around EXILE ATSUSHI, whose surprise release and sudden reunion—amid persistent calls for a comeback even after nearly 20 years—drew significant attention.This track lets you fully appreciate their timeless vocal harmonies, which stood out uniquely in the Japanese music scene at the time of their debut. The music video for
this song features YUICHIRO and KEISEI—members of DEEP/DEEP SQUAD who carry on the legacy of COLOR—DEEP SQUAD members Yuhi Uhara, RYOJI, and SUZUKI; Kazuki Hayashi of DOBERMAN INFINITY; as well as JAY‘ED and MABU—a total of 12 friends who admire ATSUSHI and COLOR.
The video showcases not only the coolness of all the seasoned COLOR members as artists but also the warm bonds that unite them.
