First solo album from commmons released in 2009.
It was a quiet, all-instrumental work, and the first original solo album without any synthesizers.
The album features mainly piano and nature sounds, and invites a variety of string instrumentalists from different genres as guests, including the British ancient music performance group Fretwork, sho player Tamami Higashino, Gagaku player Akiyokai Nanto, Keigo Oyamada, Hirotaka Shimizu, Ren Takada, Christian Fennesse, and Rob Moose.
The album also includes "disko," "ice," and "glacier," which were strongly influenced by his experiences in the Arctic Circle, which he visited during the making of the album.
The song "glacier" was later used in the film "The Revenant" (Alejandro González Iñárritu: 2016).
