In 2013, “Playing the Orchestra” caused a sensation in Japan as Sakamoto’s first performance with a full orchestra in 16 years. This musically rich project returns in 2014.This long-awaited recording captures the Tokyo performance held in April. A premium concert featuring a diverse repertoire of his signature pieces, YMO songs, and film scores. The “Sakamoto Sound” that has captivated the world is brought to life through full orchestration!! This album features the best takes from the “Playing the Orchestra” tour performances.
