It was the only single released as a double A-side in BLANKEY JET CITY's 10-year career as a band. SWEET DAYS" is lyrical, yet simple and liberating with a light eccentric beat, and is renowned as a masterpiece of art by the three-piece band.
On the other hand, "DERRINGER" has a dark development that violently resonates an unsettling worldview with outstanding musicianship based on a wood bass sound reminiscent of psychobilly.
Both songs have also produced music videos that express a clear worldview, and each has received high praise as a visual work.
This is proof that BLANKEY JET CITY was one of the rarest of rock bands, and the first 7-inch analog record (45 rpm) was released as a limited first-run vinyl edition.
The same double A-side design as at the time was used to faithfully reproduce the appeal of the two songs with a texture that could only be achieved with analog.
The vinyl is colored vinyl (clear blue), making it a highly collectible piece not only in sound but also in visual aspect. The art direction for the jacket was done by HYSTERIC GLAMOUR designer Nobuhiko Kitamura. The sound quality of the CDs and vinyl records is also very good.
The sound quality of the CDs is based on high-resolution digital transfer from the original analog master tapes, and direct cutting is performed. By eliminating any extra digital limiting in the mastering process, the dynamic range of the original mix is reproduced as it is, allowing the listener to enjoy a sound image that is different from that of a CD.
