Legendary photographer Eugene Smith and his then-wife, Eileen Smith, published a book of photographs in 1975 called MINAMATA.Johnny Depp is the producer and star of the film adaptation of the book, which will be transmitted from Hollywood to the world.
The film co-stars Bill Nighy, a famous British actor, and Hiroyuki Sanada, Jun Kunimura, Minami, Ryo Kase, Tadanobu Asano, and Akiko Iwase from Japan.
Ryuichi Sakamoto is in charge of the film's music.
The CD Japanese edition only includes an additional bonus track, "Minamata Piano Theme (from the 2019 Kumamoto Castle Hall performance)," a live recording of the premiere performance of the theme song.
